How we source and grade information
Oct 14, 2026
The citation rules, the A to D grade scale, the source checks and the naming policy.
Every page on The Cellblock Syndicate follows the same rules. This note sets them out so readers can weigh what they read.
One sentence, one source
Each factual statement rests on a public source that was opened and read. Profiles cite with numbered markers, and each number leads to the full entry in the source list at the end of the page. A short passage from the source is kept with the entry so the support can be checked without leaving the page.
Grades
- A: court opinions and records, U.S. Attorney and Department of Justice releases, the South Carolina Attorney General and solicitors.
- B: law-enforcement releases and federal threat assessments.
- C: established news outlets.
- D: club sites, social media and aggregators. These are leads only.
Source checks
Before a profile is published, a second reviewer reopens every cited source and marks it supported, partial or unsupported. Unsupported sources are removed together with the sentences that relied on them. Partial sources are kept only for the claims they support.
Names
Names of charged or convicted people appear only as published in court records, prosecutor releases and news reports. The site does not name uncharged private individuals.
Dates and times
Dates are exact where the source gives them. Times appear on the 12-hour clock in your own time zone.
